This study aims to analyze the potential of the Entikong area in supporting transmigration development in the border region of West Kalimantan. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a documentary research design. Data were obtained from publications of Statistics Indonesia, government planning and policy documents, institutional reports, and relevant previous studies. The data were analyzed through document synthesis and SWOT analysis, followed by the development of IFAS and EFAS matrices. The findings indicate that the area possesses several key strengths, including its strategic geographical location, the presence of the Entikong National Border Post (PLBN), active cross-border trade, agricultural and plantation potential, and strong government policy support. However, the area still faces several challenges, including inadequate infrastructure, limited downstream processing of local commodities, low human resource capacity, and dependence on Malaysian products. The IFAS score of 2.75 and the EFAS score of 2.87 place the area in Quadrant I, indicating a growth-oriented strategy. Priority strategies include strengthening Sekayam–Entikong connectivity, promoting downstream processing of local commodities, strengthening MSMEs and local economic institutions, improving human resource quality, and enhancing collaborative and sustainable border governance. Regional development should therefore strengthen the linkage between Sekayam as a production base and Entikong as a center for cross-border trade, services, and logistics.
