Focus and Scope

Justitia is a peer-review scholarly Law Journal issued by Faculty of Law Sintuwu Maroso University which is purported to be an instrument in disseminating ideas or thoughts generated through academic activities in the development of legal science (jurisprudence). Justitia accepts submissions of scholarly articles to be published that cover original academic thoughts in Legal Dogmatics, Legal Theory, Legal Philosophy and Comparative Law.

Peer Review Process

  1. The submitted manuscript shall be the original work of the author, either originated from research activities or in the form of conceptual articles, and has not been published anywhere else.
  2. Having been received by the Editorial Board, the manuscript shall undergo general review process to assess the suitability of the article with the focus of Justitia and its conformity with the relevant writing guidelines.
  3. If the manuscript does not fall within the focus of Justitia as suggested in the journal’s mission statement, the manuscript will not be considered at this stage and the tis decision will be promptly informed to the author.
  4. If the manuscript properly falls within the focus of Justitia as suggested in the journal’s mission statement, but not in  conformity with the relevant writing guidelines, the manuscript will be returned to the author along with a notification that the necessary adjustments be made.
  5. The manuscript that is found to be eligible following the general review will be delivered to at least two reviewers using a double blind system for substantial review.
  6. Based on the reviews, the Editorial Board shall make a decision as to whether the manuscript is accepted without revision, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revision, or rejected either for reasons of writing quality or for ethical reasons, and promptly inform the decision to the author.
  7. In any case in which revision is required, the author shall send the revised manuscript to the Editorial Board within the specified time. If the submission of a revised article exceeds the specified time, it will be considered as a new submission.

Statement of Ethics

Justitia sebagai Jurnal llmu Hukum memiliki Etika Publikasi llmiah yang menjunjung tinggi nilai – nilai kenetralan, keadilan, dan kejujuran. Nilai kenetralan bermakna bahwa dalam penerbitan jurnal tersebut bebas dari kepentingan berbagai pihak, baik kepentingan pengelola, editor, mitra bestari, mapun pengarang. Nilai Keadilan bermakna memberikan kesempatan yang sama kepada penulis yang ingin menyampaikan karyanya dan menghargai hak penulis atas karya tersebut. Nilai kejujuran bermakna bahwa dalam penerbitan artikel bebas dari duplikasi, fabrikasi, falsifikasi, dan plagiarism (DF2P).
