Author Guidelines

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES

I. GENERAL

  1. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian and have never been published in any journal that has an ISSN or ISBN.
  2. The submitted manuscript is a scientific study resulting from a case study or literature study. All accepted cases must have attention to difficult, unique, and rare cases with unusual problem solving that are important to publish.
  3. Manuscripts must be written in the form of articles, not reports, and presented following the principles of good Indonesian grammar.
  4. Authors must register as authors at this link, before they can log in to the Community Service Journal, to submit and upload manuscripts.
  5. The manuscript will be published in the Journal of Community Service after being reviewed by peer reviewers.
  6. The editorial staff has the right to edit the manuscript without making any changes to its content.
  7. The author of the manuscript is responsible for the content of the published manuscript.
  8. Journal of Community Service will notify the author if a manuscript is not published.
  9. The submitted manuscripts and illustrations are legally the property of the publisher and may not be published in other media without official permission from the publisher.
  10. Support from journal authors is expected by using references from the Community Service Journal that has been published.
  11. All forms of communication must be electronic.

SYSTEMATICS OF MANUSCRIPT WRITING
1. Title
  • The title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete
  • The title should not be more than 20 words, describe the entire contents of the article, use Times New Roman font size 14 Bold. 
2. Authors name and affiliation
  • Write Author(s) names without title and professional positions such as Prof, Dr, Production Manager, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your First and Last names.
  • Affiliation includes: name of department/unit, (faculty), name of university, address, country. Please indicate Corresponding Author (include email address) behind the name.
3. Abstract
  • Abstract should be written in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Abstract is made in one paragraph without subtitles consisting of background, objectives, methods, results and conclusions and keywords (3-5 phrases). Written in Times New Roman italic font 10 with a maximum of 200 words.
4. Keywords
  • Maximum of 5 keywords separated by semicolon (;), crucial to the appropriate indexing of the papers, are to be given.
5. Contents
  • The subtitles consist of: Introduction (consisting of background, literature review, problem formulation and objectives written in one chapter without subtitles), Methods, Discussion, Conclusions and References.
  • Manuscripts should be presented in 2-column text format (see writing instructions).
  • Manuscripts are typed in Times New Roman 10 font on A4 paper size, single-spaced (210 x 297 mm) with a left margin of 25 mm, right margin of 20 mm, bottom margin of 20 mm, and top margin of 25 mm.
  • The manuscript consists of 4000 – 6000 words.
  • Images must be in JPEG format and have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch), tables must be included in the body of the text and not as attachments.
  • Figures and tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals, and the table title and brief information about the table written in Times New Roman font size 10 bold with single spacing.

4. Reference

All references referred to in the article text must be listed in the Bibliography section. The Bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and a minimum of 80% of the total bibliography) published in the last 10 (ten) years. Each article contains at least 10 (ten) reference bibliographies. APA 6th writing format. Writing a reference system in the article text and writing a bibliography should use a reference management application program such as: Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, or others.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, or is under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has not been provided in comments to the editor).
  2. Manuscript files are in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for reference have been provided.
  4. Text is single-spaced; font 12; italic; not underlined (except for URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at appropriate points, not at the end.
  5. Texts that comply with the requirements regarding bibliography and style are outlined in the Author Guidelines, which will be found on the About Us page.
  6. If acceptance for peer-reviewed sections of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring Anonymous Reviewers have been followed.
